What StrandCalls is

StrandCalls is an AI-powered voice agent service. It handles inbound or outbound voice calls, generates synthesized speech responses, and integrates with customer telephony systems.

Voice-specific data collected

Voice services handle data that is particularly sensitive. StrandCalls collects and processes:

  • Call audio: audio of calls that flow through the service. Depending on your configuration, audio may be stored (for review, transcription, or on-hold playback) or streamed without persistent storage.
  • Call metadata: phone numbers (caller and callee), call duration, timestamps, call outcome codes, routing logic, originating carrier or SIP peer.
  • Transcriptions: text transcripts of calls, generated either during the call (for inference) or after (for review). Transcripts may be retained longer than audio.
  • Voice characteristics: where used for speaker identification or voice-matching features (not presently enabled by default), certain voice characteristics may be computed and retained. If you enable such features, this addendum will be updated accordingly.
  • TCPA / consent data: records of any consents you or your callers provide regarding call recording, marketing calls, or automated calls.

How StrandCalls uses this data

  • To provide the voice agent service you requested
  • To transcribe calls for your review and for agent learning (if enabled)
  • To route, log, and bill for call activity
  • To comply with call-recording disclosure laws where applicable
  • To debug errors and investigate abuse

Recording consent and legal disclosure

Call recording and transcription are subject to state and federal laws that vary by jurisdiction. Some U.S. states require the consent of all parties to a call ("two-party consent" states); others require only one-party consent. If you use StrandCalls to record or transcribe calls, you are responsible for obtaining any legally required consents from parties to the call, including providing appropriate disclosures at the start of the call.

NeuralConfig provides configurable pre-call disclosure prompts; use of those features is your responsibility to configure correctly for your jurisdiction. NeuralConfig is not responsible for your failure to comply with applicable call-recording law.

TCPA and similar call-regulation compliance

If you use StrandCalls for outbound calls, particularly to mobile phones, you are responsible for compliance with the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act (where applicable), and analogous non-U.S. laws (for example, UK PECR). Do not use StrandCalls to place calls without a valid legal basis.

Sharing

Call data is shared only with:

  • Telephony carriers necessary to deliver calls (SIP providers, numbering services)
  • AI inference providers for speech recognition, generation, and reasoning (currently Anthropic and speech-service vendors), under zero-retention or strictly-limited-retention data agreements
  • Your designated integrations (CRMs, helpdesks) that you have connected to the service
  • Law enforcement in response to a valid legal process as described in the Master Privacy Policy

We do not sell call data. We do not use call audio to train machine-learning models without your explicit consent.

Retention

  • Call audio: default retention 30 days; configurable per customer (minimum 24 hours for operational support, maximum 12 months without specific justification)
  • Transcripts: default retention 90 days; configurable per customer
  • Call metadata: retained up to 24 months for billing, analytics, and compliance
  • Voicemail / on-hold audio: retained as long as you configure; defaults to 90 days

Data subject rights — specific to voice data

In addition to the rights in the Master Privacy Policy:

  • Audio export: request audio files for any call in your account
  • Transcript export: request transcripts in a structured format
  • Deletion on request: permanent deletion of specific calls or all calls for a specific phone number, propagating through backups within 30 days. Some metadata may be retained for billing and legal compliance as required.

If you are an end user (not a StrandCalls customer)

If you received a call through a StrandCalls-powered system and you are not the NeuralConfig customer who operated that agent, your rights are governed both by this addendum and by the NeuralConfig customer's own privacy policy. To exercise rights related to that call, contact the NeuralConfig customer who operated the agent. If they are unresponsive or you cannot identify them, contact us at privacy@neuralconfig.com and we will forward your request.
