What NeuralRepo is
NeuralRepo is an idea-capture, search, and organization service. Users save, tag, link, and retrieve ideas through a web interface, API, and CLI tool.
Data collected specific to NeuralRepo
In addition to the categories in the Master Privacy Policy, NeuralRepo collects and processes:
- Idea content: any text, metadata, tags, and linked references you save to NeuralRepo. This is User Content under the Terms.
- Search queries: queries you run against your own idea repository, used to return results and to improve relevance algorithms.
- API usage: method, endpoint, request size, response status, timestamps — standard API logging. Request and response bodies are logged only on error, and only for a short window (up to 14 days) for debugging.
- CLI client identifiers: the CLI version and operating system you use, for compatibility purposes.
- AI-generated data: where you opt to use AI features (embedding-based search, tag suggestions), your idea content is sent to our AI provider (currently Anthropic) for inference. AI providers do not retain content for training under the terms of their agreements with us.
How NeuralRepo uses this data
- To provide the service you requested
- To improve search relevance for your account
- To debug errors and prevent abuse
- To compute aggregated, de-identified usage metrics for service improvement
We do not use your idea content to train machine-learning models. We do not share your idea content with other users or third parties except as necessary to deliver the service (for example, sending content to Anthropic for embedding generation, which is bound by a zero-retention data-use agreement).
Sharing of ideas
If you use a "link" or "share" feature to make an idea visible to another user or publicly, you understand that recipients can see the shared content. You remain in control of what you share and can revoke access at any time.
Retention
- Idea content: retained for the life of your account; deletion is effective immediately in the live system, propagates through backups within 30 days
- Search queries: retained up to 90 days in raw form; aggregated thereafter
- API access logs: retained up to 90 days
- AI inference logs: provider-side retention is zero under our agreement; our own logs retain metadata (timestamp, token count, model) for up to 90 days
Your rights (NeuralRepo-specific)
In addition to the rights in the Master Privacy Policy:
- Export: download your ideas in a structured format at any time
- Delete: permanently delete ideas or your entire repository; deletion propagates to backups within 30 days
- API key revocation: revoke any API key at any time from your account settings
